Profile: Walter is the Owner/Manager of the Trade Winds Aviation flight school. He is a high tech industry veteran with 20+ years of experience in engineering/marketing/product management. His love for flying started as a child building model airplanes, he then got his pilot license in 1990 in England. Now he is combining his business skills and passion to fly to serve the pilot community with flight instruction and airplane rental in the San Francisco bay area.

Kevin Knecht

Profile: Kevin graduated from San Jose State University's Aviation program and is also a private pilot. He is currently working on his advanced ratings to start his aviation career and highly recommends Trade Winds Aviation as an excellent place to get your wings!

Greg Hobbs

Title: CSR

Profile: Greg has lived and worked in Silicon Valley for nearly 30 years. He worked for almost 20 years in High Tech developing enterprise level telecommunications products. For the past 10 years he has spent his time as a stay at home dad and pursuing other interests. His other primary interest is aviation and flying. He earned his Private Pilot license at Trade Winds Aviation and has started his Instrument rating training. Now as a Customer Service Representative for Trade Winds Aviation he is able to assist other students and pilots pursue their aviation interests.

Nick Van Looy

Title: CSR

Profile: Nick currently attends San Jose State University studying aviation operations and business. In the future Nick is seeking to pursue a career in aviation management. He is currently training at Trade Winds Aviation for his private pilot’s license. Nick is very enthusiastic to make your experience at Trade Winds Aviation the best possible.
